Some of the Howard County school bus routes that were suspended last week will be restored Tuesday morning. For some students and parents, last week was a disaster, as students found they had no bus service because of a driver shortage and a misunderstanding over pick-up and drop-off locations with the county's new contractor, Zum Transportation. The district and Zum have been working on the problems, and they think they have a partial fix. Howard County schools Superintendent Michael Martirano on Monday sent a notice to families, saying 11 of the 20 routes will be restored Tuesday as the district works with its contractors to get all routes back in service.
