Cetera Closes Avantax Acquisition, Adds $82 Billion In Assets

Cetera Holdings said it closed its acquisition of Avantax after shareholders of the tax-focused wealth manager voted Wednesday to approve Avantax’s sale to Cetera’s parent company. The deal adds more advisors and assets to Cetera while also expanding its tax-focused wealth management offering for investors. In an SEC filing on Nov. 21, Avantax reported that more than 80% of outstanding shares voted in favor of the sale.
