Stock market today: Asian shares slide after retreat on Wall Street as crude oil prices skid

Shares fell Thursday in Asia after a retreat on Wall Street as crude oil prices slipped on expectations that supply might outpace demand. Brent crude, the international standard, fell 3.8% to $74.30 per barrel. Brent crude rose 31 cents to $74.61 per barrel.
