Till Lindemann: the Rammstein star proves that rock’n’roll can still shock and offend

Toward the end of an eventful evening, the sight of Till Lindemann brandishing a hand-held cannon might have persuaded the audience at a busy – if not quite full – Wembley Arena that the performance had at last taken a familiar turn. After all, the act of firing freebies into a sea of grateful arms is no longer a novel act. The only trouble was that rather than gifting his audience complimentary T-shirts that would otherwise cost £40 at the merchandise stands, Lindemann shot out raw fish (macker
