“Extreme” flooding struck parts of Southern California early Thursday, December 21, the National Weather Service (NWS) said, as a strong storm hit the region overnight.Footage filmed by Instagram user @eliasssssss39 shows flooding in Port Hueneme in the early hours of Thursday morning. The area received more than 3 inches of rain in the course of an hour, according to the NWS.Later in the morning, several roads in Port Hueneme, Oxnard, and Ventura remained flooded.
