Pikesville man due in court found dead near Frederick

Frederick County authorities are investigating the death of a Pikesville man, whose body was found in a vehicle stopped in a field, as a homicide. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 8200 block of Crum Road in Walkersville for a report of a suspicious vehicle in a field. A caller said the vehicle had its flashers on and had been there since 7 a.m. Authorities said deputies found a man's body in the vehicle and closed Crum Road from Liberty to Stauffer roads. The sheriff's office on Friday identified the man as Brice Boots, 65, of Pikesville, and said an autopsy confirmed someone killed him.
