School lollipop lady’s surprising colleague her pet CAT

A lollipop lady has teamed up with a surprising colleague to help children across the road – her pet CAT. Klara Remmington, 45, and Bandit, a five-year-old moggie, work a crossing together in Bushey, Herts., every weekday morning and afternoon. The cat started tagging along a few months ago and is now a regular fixture. School crossing patrol Klara, who has been a lollipop lady for eight years, says the children and parents at Highwood Primary love Bandit. She described him as an "asset" to her role – and is considering buying him a hi-vis. Bandit keeps the kids happy and focused on Klara, helping her in her role – and drivers love it when they see him so he keeps a lid on any potential road rage.
