UPDATE 1-German exports rise more than expected in January

German exports rose more than expected at the start of the year thanks to rising demand from EU countries and China, data from the federal statistics office showed on Wednesday. Exports rose by 6.3% in January compared with the previous month. Imports rose by 3.6% from December, the federal statistics office reported, versus analysts' expectations for a 1.8% increase.
