Getir to cut more than 2,000 jobs in bid to drive down costs

Getir is to slash as many as 2,500 jobs worldwide as it seeks to pare back losses in a range of European markets. The Turkish delivery firm, which also owns the Gorrilas delivery brand, is seeking to reduce its workforce by 10%, with its workforce in Germany expected to bear the brunt of the job losses, according to a report by Bloomberg News. Getir recently shut operations in France, Italy, Portugal and Spain but today vowed to continue to operate in the UK, US, Germany, Holland and Turkey.
