Flood watch issued for the region, but most of the rain falls to the south

Aug. 22—California isn't the only state affected by Hurricane Hilary. Remnants of the hurricane brought precipitation to Idaho and southeast Washington on Monday, and there could be more this evening. A flood watch was issued Monday morning for Latah, Nez Perce, Lewis, Asotin and Garfield counties by the National Weather Service at Spokane, and it will remain in effect through this evening. …
