President Ryan Coleman said right now, there are gaps in the criminal justice system that must be addressed to protect Baltimore County residents and all Marylanders. "Making sure that the resources get to the juveniles, because this is about saving those juveniles, getting those juveniles on the right path. But there also has to be accountability," Coleman said. "We have to make having a gun, a stolen gun and a ghost gun, a felony. And the way we look at it, it can be a sunset where after three years, if you don't get in any more trouble, it drops down to a misdemeanor. But we have to get tougher on guns."
