Residents speak out against water rate increases

"I don't know who you think is going to pay these bills. This isn't Brentwood. This isn't Los Angeles," said a Calaveras County resident at a meeting on Wednesday night. Under the proposed rate increases, which were approved, residential water bills would roughly double over the next five years.
