Margaret Betts, brilliant young Bombe machine operator who supported Bletchley codebreaking – obituary

Margaret Betts, who has died aged 99, was a Wren and, when barely out of her teenage years, was one of the last “Bombe” operators of the Government Code and Cypher School (GC & CS) during the Second World War.
