Colorado state parole officer dead after hit and run crash Thursday, one hospitalized

Dozens of law enforcement vehicles involved in this procession from UC Health Memorial Hospital downtown to the El Paso County Coroner's Office after we learned tonight that a Department of Corrections Parole Officer died tonight after being struck by a suspect vehicle this afternoon. Many neighbors have also lined the streets to pay honor to the officer who died.
