Bridges Damaged by Flash Flooding in North India

    The northern part of the Indian state of Sikkim was hit by flash floods overnight October 3 to 4, officials said, killing several people and damaging infrastructure.At least eight people died and 22 army personnel were reported missing after floodwaters overwhelmed parts of Sikkim and the state of West Bengal, according to local reports.Footage released on October 4 shows a damaged bridge next to a flooded river.
