It looks like Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) won’t win the speakership in the first round, after he lost a handful of Republican votes early in the alphabet. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, an Oregon Republican, voted for former Speaker Kevin McCarthy for speaker.
