White House Moves to Counter Anti-Muslim Views

The White House on Wednesday said it is developing the first national strategy to counter anti-Muslim views in the U.S. The announcement came in the midst of widespread criticism from Muslims in the U.S. and Arab-Americans over the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. “For too long, Muslims in America…have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks and other discriminatory incidents,” the White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, said in a statement.
