IDF Says Fresh Evidence Suggests Hamas Uses Civilian Hospitals for Militant Operations

Israel presented what it said was more evidence that Hamas has built military infrastructure in and around Gazan hospitals. In a press conference on Sunday, a top Israel Defense Forces spokesman presented aerial photographs taken in 2010 from a lot later used for the construction of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza that shows several inlets that the IDF identified as underground launching pads situated no more than 80 meters from the hospital. The spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, released additional video footage purportedly showing Hamas militants firing out of the Qatari-funded Sheikh Hamed Bin Khalifa hospital during a firefight with Israeli troops.
