Apparent verbal altercation leads to shooting death of man, 21, on city’s Near West Side, police say

An apparent verbal altercation led to the shooting death of a 21-year-old man Saturday night on the city's Near West Side. Chicago police say they responded to a person shot call just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of West Hastings Street in the Little Italy neighborhood. Police say they spoke with a male victim, 21, who said he'd been shot in the chest and shoulder following a verbal altercation with another man.
