At Least 21 U.S. Troops Injured in Attacks on Bases in Iraq and Syria Last Week

The Pentagon said Wednesday that at least 21 U.S. troops suffered minor injuries in separate attacks on bases in Iraq and Syria that occurred Oct. 17-18. A base in northeastern Syria came under attack Wednesday, a U.S. defense official said. One rocket landed on the base in Kharab al-Jir, Syria, and two struck nearby, the defense official said.
