Spengler, the 2012 DTM champion, will share Studie’s sole BMW M4 GT3 with Le Mans 24 Hours winner Seiji Ara, effectively replacing fellow works driver Augusto Farfus in the team’s line-up.
The Canadian is expected to take part in “around five” races of the eight-round SUPER GT season, which kicks off at Okayama on April 15-16.
