BOE Sees Strong U.K. Banks, but Wants Tougher Rules for Money-Market Funds

U.K. banks are well-placed to weather any turbulence, even as rising interest rates and growing geopolitical tensions increase strains in the global financial system, the Bank of England said Tuesday. “Some parts of the global banking and financial system and financial markets remain vulnerable to stress from increased interest rates, and from geopolitical tensions,” the BOE said.
