Pierre Gasly was left disappointed on Saturday after surprisingly being knocked out in Q1 in qualifying, despite feeling he had the pace for the top 10. Starting 17th on the grid in Monaco, the Frenchman knew he had to take risks and try something different to progress – and he did both in the changeable conditions on Sunday.
