Cup Noodles to be microwaveable after ‘historic’ switch to paper cups

Cup Noodles will come in paper cups starting next year, phasing out its current polystyrene cups. It ditches the plastic wrap and has a sleeve made of 100% recycled paper. Why this matters: Nissin Foods USA, Cup Noodles’ parent company, calls the shift a “historic change” since the brand’s U.S. arrival in 1973.
