Fed Expects Weaker Growth, Higher Unemployment In 2024

    Federal Reserve officials see the U.S. economy growing at an inflation-adjusted rate of 1.4% in 2024, down from 2.6% in 2023, according to forecasts released following the end of their two-day meeting Wednesday. The forecasts suggest the Fed expects the economy to slow to a more sustainable pace in the years ahead while avoiding a recession.
