Fierce Winds Blow Snow Across Mountains

Strong winds and snow swept across parts of North Carolina on Friday, January 19, as severe winter weather continued in the region.Footage filmed by Jared Keith shows harsh conditions at Thunder Hill Overlook, part of Blue Ridge Parkway between Boone and Blowing Rock, early Friday evening.The combination of gusty winds and cold temperatures would produce severe wind chill across the region into Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
