0815 GMT – Swiss Re results came in ahead of consensus expectations, but significant additions to U.S. reserves might raise questions, Citi analysts James Shuck and Samant Singh say in a research note. The Swiss reinsurer’s net profit for the third quarter was 17% ahead of consensus views and the full-year profit target remains at least on track, Citi says. This was despite a U.S. liability charge that is said to be precautionary, Citi says.
