Former NFL player taken into custody over mother’s death -CNN

Former National Football League player Sergio Brown has been taken into custody in connection with the death of his mother who was found deceased near her home outside of Chicago last month, CNN reported, citing a law enforcement official. Police are working to transfer him back to the Chicago area, CNN reported, citing an unnamed official. Police in Maywood, a community about 10 miles (16 km) west of Chicago, found his mother Myrtle Brown, 73, dead near a creek outside her home on Sept. 16.
