Israel Says It Has Sent Tents for People Displaced by Fighting in Gaza

Hundreds of tents to shelter people displaced by fighting in Gaza passed through the Rafah border crossing into the Palestinian enclave, Israel said. The tents were being trucked to Al-Mawasi, a town near southern coast of Gaza where Israel has urged residents displaced by fighting to head for, according to the Israeli military agency that oversees civil affairs in Palestinian territories. Around 1.4 million people in the Gaza Strip, more than half of the enclave's population, are displaced internally and aid agencies say they are struggling to meet their need for shelter and food.
