A man has been rescued from another house fire. This one was in the 38000 block of Orange Grove in north Houston. Firefighters told us that the fire happened on a single story home before one this morning. Crews saw a man trapped in the house as heavy smoke and fire was showing from the front of the house. Firefighters were able to successfully rescue the man and began to perform CPR on the victim. He was transported to a hospital downtown but his condition is unknown at this time. While the resident was rescued, his pets did not survive. The cause of the fire is being investigated by Westfield Fire Department.
