Back in July, an intriguing set of photographs emerged from the Nato summit in Lithuania showing Rishi Sunak laughing with Giorgia Meloni. The Prime Minister and his Italian counterpart were hunched over a mobile phone in fits of giggles. No 10 resolutely refused to discuss what had prompted the hysterics; an amusing video of Larry the cat, perhaps?
