Mitigation Efforts Underway as Utah Officials Warn of ‘Extreme’ Avalanche Conditions

    The Utah Avalanche Center issued a warning on Sunday, January 14, for what it called “extreme, extraordinarily dangerous avalanche conditions” for several areas following heavy snow.The center said that “deadly and dangerous” avalanche conditions were present on all aspects and elevations in Utah after a severe winter storm dropped several inches of snow across the state.This footage was captured by UDOT Cottonwood Canyons, who said it shows avalanche mitigation efforts on SR-210 on Sunday.
