Nevada County sheriff speaks out against AT&T proposal to get rid of landline service in California

    The Nevada County sheriff says a proposal from AT&T to get rid of landlines in California would be detrimental to the county. KCRA 3 Investigates has been covering the proposal that would relieve AT&T of its "carrier of last resort" duties. That means the company would no longer be required to offer landline services to large parts of the state.
