Oahu, Kauai battered with heavy rainfall impacting roads, school

On Oahu, it's a traffic nightmare for drivers as the Hawaii Department of Transportation reported a landslide causing the closure of town bound lanes of Pali Highway. Traffic is being rerouted to Kamehameha Highway. The heavy rain also caused the Ala Wai Canal to fill up to the brim and debris to float around. Meanwhile, the relentless rain is impacting Kauai from the closure of Hanalei Elementary Wednesday to flooding on Kuhio Highway and a mudslide on Kaumualii Highway.
