Relief efforts continued in Maui on Saturday, August 12, as deadly wildfires devastated parts of the Hawaiian island.Footage captured by local Amy Knebel Larsen shows helicopter crews at Kahului Airport transporting aid supplies on Friday. The crews were headed west to help those impacted by the fires, Larsen said. “Relief efforts will continue for months,” she added.According to Windward Aviation, a Maui-based helicopter company, 20,000 pounds worth of supplies were donated to their base on Friday.By Saturday morning, at least 80 people were killed in the fires, Maui County said.
