Sex toys for the middle classes? John Lewis might be on to something

There has been much fuss about John Lewis’s decision to start selling sex toys. And I can certainly understand the horror: what does it say about bastions of middle-class gentility when it starts flogging vibrators? And what does it say about sex when people are looking to buy vibrators at bastions of middle-class gentility?
