Skunk With Head Stuck in Cup Freed by Maine Police

A Maine police officer helped free a skunk with its head stuck in a cup in the early hours of Wednesday, September 21.Video from the Waterville Police Department shows the scene, after a few officers and a state trooper found the animal “walking in circles in the middle of Kennedy Memorial Drive”.The video ends with one office using a long stick to get the cup off the animal’s head before swiftly giving it space.Police said that “despite a moment of being stunned,” the skunk was uninjured and soon “able to move away from the roadway to safety.” Credit: Waterville, Maine, Police Department via Storyful
