Franklin, a popular Peanuts character, constantly moves due to his dad's military job. He relies on a notebook of his grandfather's friendship advice, but struggles fitting in with the Peanuts gang. He decides to enter the neighborhood Soap Box Derby race, believing winning will earn him friends. He teams with Charlie Brown to build their race car, developing a close bond. However, as the race approaches, the pressure threatens their new friendship and their chances of winning.
