U.S. stock futures edged lower early Wednesday ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision as the stock market’s recent momentum took a pause. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite was the worst performer, falling 2.8% in October, while the S&P 500 declined 2.2% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 1.4% down. “Normally this doesn’t get much attention but given the massive runup in rates over recent months, especially since the last refunding announcement, the concern is that any surprises could help push long-dated yields even higher,” Deutsche Bank analyst Jim Reid said in a note Wednesday.
