Stock Futures Rise After Fed Rate Decision

U.S. stock futures climbed early Thursday as the major indexes looked set to build on the gains made after the Federal Reserve’s decision to pause interest rates. Futures on the Nasdaq-100 rose 0.4%, S&P 500 futures climbed 0.3%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were 0.1% up. While Powell’s pre-prepared remarks left another rate hike on the table, he was more dovish in his press conference, noting that policy is “clearly restrictive” at current levels.
