The Tories need to change – or we’re heading for the rocks

It hardly needs saying that last night’s by-election results were very bad for my party, the Conservative Party. Once again, as in Somerton and in Selby this spring, the best part of 50,000 Tory voters went walkabout on election day. When that happens, you can’t win.
