"The Way Home" follows three generations of women, Kat, her daughter Alice, and Kat's mother Del, all strong and independent. Kat left her small Canadian town over 20 years ago after a life-changing event and has been estranged from Del ever since. Alice, unaware of her grandmother and their family's fracture, is unenthusiastic when, following a job loss and marriage breakdown, Kat decides to return home after receiving a letter from Del. The reunion isn't as envisioned, but the women learn to reconnect on an enlightening journey.
