Canadian payments technology company Nuvei said on Sunday it was evaluating proposals that would take the company private, after reports said that private equity firm Advent International was in advanced talks to buy the company. Nuvei, which has received financial backing from actor Ryan Reynolds, said its board has formed a special committee to evaluate "expressions of interest" in the company, including a going-private deal, and any other strategic alternatives. The Wall Street Journal first reported about Advent’s talks with Nuvei on Saturday.
