Venice welcomes Polanski, Bradley Cooper but only on-screen

    Roman Polanski and Bradley Cooper headline the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, though long-standing controversy and a Hollywood strike mean both will be missing from the red carpet.An ongoing actors strike in Hollywood means Cooper will also be missing from the launch of his movie "Maestro" in which he plays legendary conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein, as will Carey Mulligan who plays his wife Felicia.
