A jury has reached a verdict in Rudy Giuliani's civil trial for defaming two former Georgia election workers he falsely accused of helping rig the 2020 U.S. presidential election against Donald Trump, a court official said on Friday. The verdict will be read shortly in the U.S. District Court in Washington. The jury's sole task in the trial was to determine how much Trump's former lawyer and one-time New York mayor owes the workers, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss and her mother Ruby Freeman, to compensate them for the reputational and emotional harm they suffered and to punish Giuliani for his conduct.
