‘We met at the right time’: the two Holocaust survivors who found love in their 80s

    It started with a joke. Seven years ago, Miriam Freedman and Ivor Perl – both recently widowed – met at a gathering of Holocaust survivors. “One day, I think I happened to make a silly remark about me taking her out,” says Perl, 91. “And she took it seriously.”
