World Health Organization Says It Can’t Reach Contacts at Al-Shifa Hospital

The World Health Organization has lost communication with its contacts at Gaza City's Al-Shifa Hospital and said it has grave concern for the safety of those inside the complex, including health workers and patients. The organization said the hospital's intensive-care unit has been damaged, and staff have reported that the complex's remaining critical functions, including ventilators and incubators, are at risk of shutting down soon because of a lack of fuel.
